LawSmoothie helps small business owners handle their legal needs with some refreshing twists to "getting legal." We do many of the traditional lawyerly things like:

LawSmoothie handles only the most common business legal matters. This allows us to streamline things, making them more affordable, without oversimplifying them. We're bridging the gap between non-lawyer services such as LegalZoom and other document sales companies and what a lawyer can do. While super cheap on the upfront costs, they cannot compare to legal advice from a licensed lawyer. The problem is, unless you've worked a lot with a lawyer, you won't know the difference. And, even worse, if you've ever worked with a lawyer who wasn't a good fit, you may mistakenly think that all lawyers are not much better than a form you can download at a fraction of the cost. More on this topic later, but for now, just know that every non-lawyer form sales service will put a disclaimer saying they're not providing legal advice. So, hopefully, that at least prompts the question in your mind of "what is legal advice," and "what can a lawyer do that's worth their fees?" LawShops
Pay less than half of what you would normally pay in attorney fees. A LawShop is not just a workshop. By the time we're done, you have a completed legal product in hand, whether it be a contract drafted to your requirements, or an incorporation structured just for you and filed with the Secretary of State. Plus, you benefit from group learning dynamics that give you a richer, better understanding of what you're doing and why, at least that's my observation in comparison to my clients who I meet the 1:1 traditional lawyerly way. These are different than lawshops, because they fill your head with new info, but you don't get legal advice, and you don't have a legal product done at the end.
